Program Overview
Join me in my hometown of Sigulda for an intimate, week-long watercolor immersion. This is the first time I’m opening my studio and home as a workshop space — a chance to learn deep watercolor techniques, draw inspiration from the Sigulda National Park, and experience the places that have shaped my art and life.
Over six days we’ll dive deep into watercolor practice, exploring methods I use in my own work: layered washes, expressive mark-making, controlled spontaneity, colour mixing, and composition for atmospheric landscapes and emotive still life. This immersive experience balances hands-on technical sessions, guided plein-air painting in Sigulda National Park, studio demos, individual feedback, and quieter reflective exercises designed to reconnect you with creative process and personal values.

Daily Structure (Sample)
- Morning: Technique-focused demos and guided exercises in the studio.

Location and Atmosphere
You’ll be painting in my own studio in Sigulda and walking the trails of Sigulda National Park — the landscapes that helped me recover, reflect, and build my practice. I’ll invite you into my creative space and share stories of family, place, and the values that inform my work. Expect warmth, honesty, and a supportive atmosphere that encourages both skill growth and self-discovery.

A: Yes — paints, papers, shared brushes, palettes, and most studio supplies are included. You’re welcome to bring any personal tools you prefer.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the workshop fee. I’ll send a recommended list of hotels, guesthouses, and B&Bs in Sigulda with a range of budgets and distances from the studio.
When you book, tell me your preferred style of lodging (comfortable hotel, cosy guesthouse, or self-catered apartment) and I’ll suggest the best options and contact details.
