Our Commitment
At Kristine Art, sustainability isn't an afterthought - it's part of how we run our small studio. As we grow across Europe, we're committed to following applicable packaging and environmental regulations in every country we ship to, and to steadily reducing the environmental footprint of every parcel that leaves our door.
We register and report our packaging under the relevant Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes in the markets we serve, in line with the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40). We also work closely with our packaging suppliers to choose materials that are lighter, more recyclable, and kinder to the planet because going green, for us, is a direction, not a slogan.
Packaging Declaration of Conformity
Our corrugated cardboard packaging is manufactured from board grades covered by our supplier's PPWR compliance documentation, independently summarised in a PPWR Material Compliance Statement issued by Pack Expert OU filiāle (Riga, Latvia), dated 9 July 2026.

Substance compliance - PPWR Article 5
Our packaging is not intentionally manufactured with heavy metals or PFAS in a way that would affect recyclability, safety, or regulatory compliance. Independent analysis confirms combined lead, cadmium, mercury, and hexavalent chromium concentrations remain below 100 mg/kg, and total fluorine remains below 50 mg/kg (50 ppm), tested to EN 13428:2004, ISO 21646:2022, and EN 15408:2011.
Recyclability - PPWR Article 6
Our corrugated board packaging is designed for material recycling and is compatible with existing EU collection, sorting, and recycling systems, in accordance with EN 13430:2004.
Minimisation - PPWR Article 10
We work with our packaging supplier to keep weight and volume reduced to what is functionally necessary to protect your order, in line with EN 13428:2004 (Prevention by source reduction).
Reusability - PPWR Article 11
While corrugated board packaging is not subject to the mandatory reuse requirements of Article 11, we're always glad when customers reuse or repurpose our boxes.
This information is based on our supplier's PPWR Material Compliance Statement, version 2026:2 (issued 19 June 2026), and will be reviewed and updated as the European Commission finalises implementing acts under the PPWR.
