Together, we’ll explore its warm colours, rounded shapes, and curved green stem - and discover how light and shadow bring a simple subject to life on paper.

What we'll explore
- Mixing golden colours: create luminous yellows and warm Autumn tones.
- Painting clean shadows: use touches of violet to deepen yellow without losing its beauty.
- Building rounded form: develop the pumpkin’s ribs through gentle layers of color.
- Preserving highlights: keep the light areas fresh for a naturally glowing result.
- Adding finishing details: bring character to the stem and texture to the pumpkin.
Let’s paint together
Whether you’re new to watercolor or looking to practise your skills, I’ll explain my process as I paint - from the first washes to the finishing touches.
You can paint along with me or watch, take notes, and ask questions during our time together. There’s no pressure to keep up or make everything perfect.
A reference photo and line drawing are provided, so you can prepare your outline beforehand and enjoy focusing on the painting.
